Meet Elissa
Movement has been the common thread throughout my entire life.
As a child and young adult, I was an athlete—field hockey, lacrosse, long-distance running—and I learned early how to push through discomfort, work hard, and chase excellence. But like many high achievers, I also learned that achievement alone doesn’t always create balance.
Over the years, my journey led me through recovery, yoga, strength training, creative writing, motherhood, community leadership/outreach, and eventually Pilates. Along the way I discovered that true wellness isn’t built by exercising harder—it’s built by learning how the body and mind work together.
I’ve spent my life teaching. Whether it was in an elementary school classroom, on a college classroom, in HR management roles or by leading nonprofit fundraisers, serving my community, mentoring others in recovery, or now coaching clients through movement, I’ve always believed the greatest gift we can give another person is the knowledge and confidence to change their own life.
Pilates transformed the way I approached fitness. It challenged me to slow down, move with intention, build strength through precision, and appreciate that progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistency, awareness, and showing up placement one foot before the other.
That curiosity sparked an even deeper passion for whole-body wellness. Alongside my Pilates certifications in mat, reformer, sculpt, and pre/postnatal Pilates, I am completing advanced education in nutrition and wellness coaching. I immersed myself in understanding the science behind energy, recovery, hormones, nutrient deficiencies, stress, movement, and sustainable lifestyle habits—not simply to collect knowledge, but to help people understand why they feel the way they do and what they can do about it.
Today, my approach combines movement, nutrition, mindset, habit formation, and compassionate accountability. My goal isn’t simply to help you exercise better. It’s to help you feel stronger, think more clearly, move with confidence, and create a life that feels aligned from the inside out.
None of us become our best self alone. It took coaches, teachers, mentors, healthcare professionals, family, and friends to help me become the woman I am today. My mission is to pay that forward.
Whether you’re stepping onto a reformer for the first time, rebuilding after pregnancy, recovering from injury, navigating stress, or simply ready to invest in yourself, I’ll meet you where you are.
I believe the version of yourself you’ve imagined—the healthier, stronger, calmer, more confident version—is still waiting for you.
Sometimes all it takes is the smallest first action, to move with a single step.
Let’s walk in tandem and line a path with goals, take a single step to learn skills and create healthy habits. The only requirement for me to be your coach is that you keep seeking, growing and accepting this is a journey not a destination.
I’m proud you’ve made it here!
My Mission
Smart feet take you to smart places.
Every transformation begins with a single step.
My mission is to help people become the strongest, healthiest, and most authentic version of themselves through intentional movement, practical education, and consistent action.
I believe wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. Every person arrives with a different story, a different body, different goals, and different challenges. That’s why I meet you exactly where you are.
Whether you’re taking your very first Pilates class, preparing for motherhood, rebuilding after pregnancy, navigating the teenage years, staying active as you age, training for athletic performance, or simply looking to move without pain, your journey deserves a program designed specifically for you.
Through individualized Pilates instruction on the reformer or the mat—in person or virtually—with the ability to be paired with personalized nutrition and wellness coaching, we’ll build a sustainable plan that fits your life and your life only.
I don’t believe in perfection. I believe in progress.
My role isn’t to change who you are. It’s to help uncover the person you’ve always known was there.
With science, compassion, accountability, and movement as our foundation, we’ll create habits that strengthen your body, sharpen your mind, support your emotional well-being, and build confidence that extends far beyond the studio.
No matter your age, experience, fitness level, or season of life, you don’t have to know everything before you begin.
You only need to take the first step.
Because smart feet don’t just take you smart places.
They take you home to the person you’ve always had the potential to become.
